grandtradition.net BETA

After several months of being offline, GrandTradition.net is tip-toeing back onto the scene with a new format that is based on social networks such as Facebook, and which is geared toward design professionals and aficionados. Come on in and have a look around.

The site is in a beta phase, so we’re testing features, making sure information is as secure as intended, and building the site out to meet demand. If you’d like to participate in the beta testing, all you need to do is register and then you can begin to share content with other registered users.  The Activity page is where you find the chatter and social interactions for the whole site, and group activity can be found at individual group pages.  If you don’t think any of the existing groups describe you adequately, or you think more groups should be added, registered users can create their own groups to meet their needs.  You may be interested to see who’s registered here and check out their profiles.  All of this can be found in the menu tabs at the upper-right area of this page.  Much like Facebook, posts can be “liked” and favorited (when did favorite become a verb?).  To post videos or images from the web, registered members need only to paste the URL into their posts and the media should automatically embed itself once the post is published.
