As a starter for consideration, here are a few diagrams that will be useful.  Keep in mind that these little diagrams can be used at any scale to generate proportional division in a design, in plan, elevation, and section.  Just by using the golden rectangle (phi), one can draft a complete order of classical architecture, a tetrastyle temple, proportion mouldings cohesively, etc. etc.

Académie Royale d'Architecture, incorporated into the École des
Beaux-Arts after the Revolution, the most influential architecture
school in the Western world since its foundation in the 17th century
until reforms in the mid-20th century terminated its architecture
