To The School of Architecture Alumni,
On behalf of the UVa School of Architecture Foundation as well as the entire alumni body, I would like to thank Dean Karen Van Lengen for her decade of inspired leadership to the School of Architecture, which she recently announced to the faculty and students will be concluding at the end of the 2008-09 academic year. The University will soon be announcing plans for the search process for the next dean.
Together with many of you and faculty and students, Dean Van Lengen has significantly raised the profile of the school and positioned us for sustained prominence through innovative programs and curricular developments, new faculty and student initiatives and opportunities, increased engagement with alumni and friends and the creation of the stunning enhancements to Campbell Hall.
There will be several opportunities to celebrate Dean Van Lengen's achievements and engage in conversation about the future of the School in the coming year. I especially hope you will join us for the Re-Opening of Campbell Hall on October 25 (in person or in spirit) as we experience the splendor and explore the possibilities of this new space.
Thank you for your continued support in this and future years.
With best wishes,
Stuart N. Siegel
President
UVa School of Architecture Foundation Board of Trustees
